THE INNOVATIONAL DECISION FOR UTILIZATION OF IRON-BEARING METALLURGICAL WASTES

Abstract
Recycling of the iron-bearing wastes, especially dusts generated at iron and steel works, is problematical. In this article, the possibility of full wastes processing by Romelt technology with production of hot metal, slag, zinc-containing dust and electric power is shown. The economic estimation of wastes recycling by ordinary variant of Romelt process as well as by Romelt process using injection of coal-dust fuel are calculated. Also, the project’s high technical and economic efficiency is shown.
